Design Drafting Week takes place the same week as the ADDA National Conference. It has been set aside by ADDA to honor all of the individuals who are engaged in the profession of design drafting and graphic arts.
The award is given to an active ADDA Memberwho has made a significant impact on design drafting/graphics during their career. This award may be given to any Professional, Associate, Institutional or Corporate Member.

Chapter of the year is a program developed by ADDA to recognize the efforts of Student Chapters. Most Student Organizations provide support to the schools and communities. These efforts usually involve helping other service or student organizations, being involved in other organizations such as SkillsUSA, Rotary, Civitan and others. Applications are due in December of each year.

Curriculum Certification is a specialized copyrighted program certification process developed by ADDA to assist educational facilities and vocational training institutions for aligning their educational process to meet or exceed industry standards.
Instructor of the Year is an Annual Award given to an instructor which has shown outstanding performance within the educational field. Instructors are chosen based on overall gradepoints of their students, community involvement and promotion of the profession. Instructors must be members of ADDA.

Student of the year is an annual Award given by ADDA to acknowledge student and chapter members which excell within thier classroom, community and future profession. You must be a member of ADDA to apply.

ADDA supports and endorses continuing education and training at every level and stage of the individual’s career. Continuing education can consist of courses, videos, on-line training, post-secondary and vocational training in single or multiple programs that meets the individual’s requirements.

Professional Recertification is rquired for all Certified Drafters, Certified Design Drafter, Certified Designers, Cetified Digital Designers, Certified Imaging Technolist or Technicians.
Professional Certification through ADDA has a 3 year lifespan and requires renewal.
How to become a Authorized Testing Site or Certified Testing Site is as simple as completing an application and providing some detailed information.
If your school has Certified Curriculum through ADDA the process is even easier.
Chapters are ADDA's Student Organizations.
ADDA Chapters consist of students who are involved in Design, Drafting and Graphics Programs. Members can be involved in several training areas such as; drafting, design, pre-engineering, visual communications and other related graphic based classes. Chapters are designed very similar to those of other student organizations and can coincide with little effort.
The ADDA Design Drafting Contest is an annual event which is open to any student member of ADDA or any student enrolled in an ADDA Certified Program.
The ADDA Annual Poster Contest is specifically designed for students who wish to challenge their ability in the development of a poster to promote Design Drafting Week.
