ADDA offers many opportunities for individuals to become an active member of the organization

Councils are professional local and regional groups which are chartered by ADDA.  Councils may consist of individuals from similar professional backgrounds or professionals from a wide range of backgrounds.  Members of the Councils meet on a regular schedule to their choosing.  This is a great way to expand your local network and improve professional relationships.

There is no financial charge for starting an ADDA Council.

ADDA Employment Center is operated by JobTarget.  Within this area you may search for a job openingsby posting your resume, or advertise for a position within your company or other companies.  There is no charge for posting a resume.

Professional Recertification is rquired for all Certified Drafters, Certified Design Drafter, Certified Designers, Cetified Digital Designers, Certified Imaging Technolist or Technicians.

Professional Certification through ADDA has a 3 year lifespan and requires renewal.

ADDA supports and endorses continuing education and training at every level and stage of the individual’s career. Continuing education can consist of courses, videos, on-line training, post-secondary and vocational training in single or multiple programs that meets the individual’s requirements.

 Design Drafting Week takes place the same week as the ADDA National Conference.   It has been set aside by ADDA to honor all of the individuals who are engaged in the profession of design drafting and graphic arts.

Professional Certification is an on-line examination provided by ADDA to establish a credentialing system based on an individual's competency level. 

The examinations are based on years of experience or training level.  Examinations are Professional Level but are available to students.   Examinations may be taken at any approved testing site or through a proctor approved by ADDA.   Professional Certification through ADDA is a 3 year lifespan, from date of certification and requires renewal.
